ACCORDING TO TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION RANKING
International ranking agency Times Higher Education (THE), considered one of the most prestigious in the field of higher education, has published new ranking of the world's universities, The University Impact Rankings.
It evaluates the activities of universities around the world in terms of the spread of positive impact on society, economy and environment. As a result Sumy State University entered the 300 best universities in the world who passed the audit of THE, and ranked first among Ukrainian universities.
University was evaluated primarily for its contribution to the goals of sustainable development identified by the United Nations for the development of mankind by 2030. THE experts, in particular, assessed the effectiveness of current projects implemented by University in the field of promotion and improvement of health care, planning and support of families, physical culture and sports, ensuring the comfort of working conditions, equality and non-discrimination, inclusiveness, development and implementation of "green" technologies, participation in local, regional and state government, etc.
All of these aspects are part of the modern philosophy of corporate social responsibility, which lies in universities’ active social position, harmonious coexistence, interaction and constant dialogue with society, participation in solving socio-economic problems.
