Important meeting took place on June 13th in Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine under the chairmanship of Roman Greba with acting Head of the Department for International Cooperation and European Integration of Ministry of Education Lyubov Shchitka, Director of the Ukrainian State Center for International Education (USCIE) Olena Shapovalova, Director of Information and Image Center Victoria Sergienko, with Ministry of Health representatives and the heads of business entities who provide training services in Ukraine.
Urgent issues of foreign students’ admission for studying at higher medical education institutions, issues of passing KROK examination by foreign students (STEP 1, STEP 2 for Medical students), recognition of Ukrainian degrees abroad were discussed.
During the meeting, questions regarding quality, transparency and correctness of education consultancy companies’ work were raised as well. There are occasions when deception begins with the sites of intermediary companies. Some of them write about licenses, permits or special certificates from Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Health or USCIE, which is not reliable information. Neither ministries nor USCIE issue permits or licenses for the activities of educational companies. Ukrainian State Center for International Education does not have branches or representative offices abroad.
🇮🇳 ️Special note for prospective students from India - this year, when applying for medical specialty, applicant must pass the exam and have NEET certificate (except for applicants who have residency in other countries and don't intend to return to India after graduating from Ukrainian universities).
Some innovations were reported as well. Thus, foreign students will need to pass exam on language of instruction (English, Ukrainian or Russian) after the first year of study. Also, registration of the second invitation may be allowed after the applicant's request.
Our company also participated at this important event and we sincerely thank Ministry of Education and Science as well as Ministry of Health for such productive meeting. We always provide our students with excellent service and support for their successful admission and studies in Ukraine!
